The inner surface is lined with a soft, non-abrasive fleece that sits directly against newborn skin without friction or irritation — an important consideration for babies whose skin sensitivity in the early weeks makes fabric choice genuinely significant. Unlike cotton-canvas structured carriers, the sherpa construction retains warmth during outdoor carries in autumn and winter conditions without requiring a separate carrier blanket or footmuff.
